Hi there! I'm Stacey Funt, a physician, coach, lifelong global traveler, wife, and mother. One of my greatest passions lies in the realm of Lifestyle Medicine, which delves into the profound impact of lifestyle choices on overall well-being. This amalgamation of interests has given birth to what I affectionately call Lifestyle Health Adventures (thus, the name of my business is LH Adventure Travel)

My philosophy on women's travel is deeply rooted in my belief that exploration is not just about visiting fun and exciting new places but also about personal growth, healing, and connection. I carefully curate each itinerary to include places and activities I think you will love and embrace four of the fundamental pillars of lifestyle medicine: moderate movement, healthy eating, stress management, and community. My mission is to offer awe-inspiring, unforgettable, and enriching adventures for women that include time in nature, promote well-being, and support meaningful connections.

Personally, I'm fueled by a love for adventure, the thrill of new experiences, and the serenity of hiking in nature. Over the past 37 years, travel has been a constant companion in my life. Even during my training, I found ways to explore the world. From sleeping on wooden floors in hill tribe huts in Northern Thailand to having my sandwich snatched by a vulture in Tanzania, from experiencing a soul-stirring moment beneath the stars in the Amazon jungle—these are the moments that define my love for travel.

Travel has enriched my life in so many ways. The most notable was when my husband and I visited the Galapagos Islands shortly after we were married and witnessed "mother/baby" everywhere. It inspired us to start a family, not knowing how long it would take. A month later, I was pregnancy with twins! To share with my children what I love and to create meaningful one-on-one time, I started "mom and me" trips when they were eight, continuing to this day. Our family vacations were a blend of adventure travel, national parks, camping, and serene moments at a cabin off the grid on Lake Winnipesaukee.

In terms of my education, I pursued psychology at Emory University, attended NYU Medical School, and completed my residency in diagnostic radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. My journey into health and wellness coaching involved training with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and becoming certified by the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches, along with training as a life coach through the Coach Training Institute.

For the past decade, I've coached, conducted workshops, and lectured to both physicians and the general public on various aspects of wellness and self-care. While I initially envisioned combining all my passions into travel experiences when my kids grew older, the onset of Covid initially disrupted those plans. When my children ventured off to college, I realized it was time. I am now crafting Lifestyle Health Adventures for groups and individuals alike. Join me on one of my upcoming adventures, or reach out to me to design your own.
